Cell Phone Service - I think I want to switch!!

I have at&t shared plan, with 1000 anytime minutes and unlimited nights and weekends, and it costs 89.99. I pretty much use about 800 anytime and about 200 nights and weekends and 200 shared.

What do you have, I want to see if I can get something cheaper from sonewhere else.

My DH wants to get a Nextel, but they don't have a shared plan.

I can tell you this, I switched from AT & T to NExtel b/c DH has Nextel on his work cell phone
I DO NOT LIKE NEXTEL lol
at and t was better IMO

Nextel does have a shared plan but sometimes they won't tell you because I think its not worth it.

ETS: I like AT&T and Nextel. I hate T-mobile.

i have nextel and use about 1200 min a month and it costs me around 90 a month

give or take

my fh's phone he doesnt use much and is on the employee plan is 100 mins for 10 bucks
he never goes over that

so for the 2 phones it anywhere from 70-100 dollars a month

and we talk to each other and our friends family for free
who ever has a nextel that is

the service it self : all cell phone companies work off the same satlite so it boils down to which plan and look of a phone you prefer

ATLANTA -- Cingular Wireless has made a formal all-cash offer to acquire AT&T Wireless in a deal that would create the nation's largest cell phone carrier, according to sources close to the deal.

The offer was submitted to AT&T Wireless' board of directors over the weekend, one source said Tuesday, speaking on condition of anonymity. Cingular's offering price includes a premium over AT&T Wireless' closing share price of $9.99 on Friday, a second source close to the deal said.

Shares of AT&T Wireless were up 40 cents to $10.39 in midday trading Tuesday, suggesting that any offer would need to exceed the company's market value of more than $28 billion. Shares of Cingular's parent companies also rose Tuesday, with SBC Communications rising 47 cents to $26.94 and BellSouth rising 27 cents to $29.48.

Last week, the stock jumped more than 20 percent amid numerous press reports pointing to a potential bidding war between Cingular and assorted rivals, including Nextel Communications and Vodafone PLC of Britain.

Officials from Cingular and AT&T Wireless declined to comment. AT&T Wireless' board was expected to wrap up a previously scheduled meeting later Tuesday. It was unclear whether the board might reach a decision at the meeting on whether to approve or reject the offer.

A successful merger would vault the combined company into the top slot in terms of U.S. market share. It would also slim the field of national wireless players from six to five during a period of fierce competition under a new federal rule allowing customers to switch carriers without losing their phone numbers.

Atlanta-based Cingular is currently the nation's second-largest wireless carrier with 23.4 million voice and data customers. Verizon Wireless is the market leader with 36.0 million subscribers, while AT&T is No. 3 with 21.9 million. All of the subscriber tallies were calculated as of the end of September, so it is likely those figures will change significantly when the companies report on their performance for the final three months of 2003.

Cingular, slated to report its fourth-quarter results on Wednesday, has been adding customers steadily the last several quarters, helping boost the earnings of its parent companies.

AT&T Wireless, based in Redmond, Wash., has annual revenue of $16.5 billion.

I have tmobile and love them. Nextel is ridiculously expensive Verizin has good service if you are mainly going to stay in the US.
