Celtic/Irish Ring Bearers Pillows

I have just started looking for a ring bearers pillow. I am trying to tie it in with my celtic/irish wedding theme. I have found a few but they are all really pricey like $50 or $60 and I didnt want to spend that much on a pillow.

So if anyone knows of a site or store with lower range prices $20 or $30 please post, thanks alot
Kimberly

Why don't you try making the pillow yourself? Get two irish linen hankies, and sew them together. Stuff them, add a ribbon in the middle, and voila, you've got a beautiful, irish pillow.

Re: Celtic/Irish Ring Bearers Pillows

I got a beautiful rectangular shaped pillow made of Irish linen with lace and a ribbon cross on it at an Irish shop on 51st between Lexington and 3rd Avenues. I can't recall exactly how much I paid but I bet it was closer to $20 b/c I wouldn't pay $50 either. I am blanking on the name of the place ( think it started with a G) but the woman who owned the place, Bernadette, was a bit flakey but very nice and helpful. She didn't have it in stock but she had some catalogs that she let me look through. If that location is not convenient for you, go to a closer place and ask if they have any catalogs. These places all order their stuff from somewhere so they should be able to help you in that way. They had all kinds of pillows, even a shamrock shaped satin one which was not what I was in the market for but would definitely fit in with an Irish theme. Good luck.

Re: Celtic/Irish Ring Bearers Pillows

Thanks so much for the info, there is a Irish store in Brooklyn I can go to and ask. I am also going to the Belmont Irish Festival this weekend, so maybe some vendors will have something or catalogs too.
I totally dont want a shamrock shaped pillow, definitely a sqaure pillow, the one you got sounds nice and similar to what i am looking for, If I cant find anything around me, I will definitely make a trip into the city, thank goodness I have time.

Thanks again
Kimberly

I might even try to make it myself or get help from some crafty friends, but i figure I would exhaust my search first then if I dont succeed, i will try to make one. thanks
