Centerpiece: Glitter in Water???

When I was visiting my RH before we booked, we were brought into the rooms as they were being set up for the night's wedding. There were these high centerpieces in thin glass vases set up, and it was the oddest thing: there was a spiral of suspended glitter in the vase!

Has anyone seen anything like this before? It was a purple themed wedding, so the glitter was purple and gold. It was thin glitter, not the chunky kid looking stuff. It didn't appear to be on a wire, so I have no idea how it was just suspended and didn't sink to the bottom.

Have any of you girls seen this before at a wedding, or at a florist? I wouldn't even know what to ask for!

Glitter gel...how 6th grade!!!

Did you look into it at all? I can't imagine it costing a lot of money, but if I can't afford my candelabra CPs and have to go with florals, I'd like to kick it up a notch.

I don't know...that sounds like it's probably chunky pieces of glass. This was like the glitter gel that I'm sure we all used to rock back in middle school, that was just suspended in the water, didn't sink to the bottom. I'm thinking now it probably is some sort of gel after all.

Glitter always makes something prettier
As long as it's done right, which it sounds like it was when you saw it.

No...that's not quite it. Thank you though!

They arent glitter, they are tiny little lights that are on a wire and they are in the water ... I wanted them myself but they are beyond expensive!
