We've just discovered we can't get the supplies for the DIY CP we had planned. So, need ideas for easy inexpensive CPs. Please provide pics for inspiration as well. thanks

here's a relatively inexpensive and very classy look:potted orchids. you could prob. do this for $50 apiece and have GORGEOUS cp's that won't die...come to think of it it could be alot cheaper!

We don't really have one, since we had the other one worked out early on. Originally, the stemmed candle holders were costing $10.00 per table and the ivy to go around them is $3.00 per table and then a few votives in each holder. so they were less than $20 per table.

Re: Centerpiece Help
maybe you can try posting on the vendor board, list your budget and how many centerpieces you need. there are a few WONDERFUL vendors that are willing to work with brides on a budget (i'm one of them - meaning one of the budget brides! )
good luck!

Re: Centerpiece Help
check wholesale catalogs for candle holders.
Are you having a theme that you could bring into the CP?
are you doing flowers? candles?
I did mine...they were a circular candle holder with 6 raised candle holders, that was $7.50 each at Joanne's Fabrics after Christmas (they were 70% off). Candles got on Ebay. We wrapped ivy and some small floral sprays....I think each CP was less than $15

No theme. We were going to use candles. I'm not opposed to flowers, but candles seemed easier to work with. Do you have a picture of how yours came out?

Re: Centerpiece Help
I bought hurricane lamp vases really cheap. I'm putting a pillar candle in each vase.
From there, our florist is putting 6 rose heads floating in water in the hurricane lamp vase and preparing two small arrangements of 6 roses each on either side of the hurricane lamp vase. I'm getting completely ripped off by my florist for this part , but I'm using them in order to use the CPs provided by my hall.
To keep costs lower, you could fill the bottom of the hurricane lamp with silk rose petals and sprinkle some on the table.

that sounds really pretty. Where were you able to find cheap hurricans? How much were they? do you have any pics of what this will look like?

Vases were $6.99 a piece from the Christmas Tree Shops (in CT). But, I've seen ones that are very similar in look and price at AC Moore and at Mace's. Candles were $3 for 3x9' and $2 for 3x6' at AC Moore.
I'll see if I can find a picture of something similar.
Ooh....those lst few are so pretty! Although the candles without holders make me nervous. Both for the fire hazard and maybe if you get wax on the linens you get charged a fee?
I love the ones I've seen with the cranberries, but we're having a summer reception. thoughts on what to use instead of cranberries to upt around the candle?
What if you get some type of floral garland from Michael's? that might look nice.

--Are you opposed to using faux fruit? Becasue then I'd say raspberries and kiwi if you can find them. Or even strawberries. If you want real fruit, lemons and limes stay well for a full day.
