Ceremony help

Ceremony help

I need help.
I'm catholic. Fh is Lutheran. We are planning the ceremony at the hall. A family member of mine is a priest and giving me a hard time saying I must get married in a church. Neither of us want that.
A few questions...
Being that we are both different religions can a priest marry us outside of a church?
If we di not get married in a church and have kids - will they be able to be baptized?
Worst case scenario - a priest cannot marry us- how do I go about finding an officient?

Re: Ceremony help

FH is catholic and I am jewish and we are having both a priest and rabbi marry us at our RH. You will definitely be able to find a priest to marry you. You can look on LIW for officiants if you are having trouble finding one. About the baptisim, I'm not really sure but I think that would be ok.

I am pretty sure a priest can marry you outside the church, but you can't have a mass.

As far as your children being baptized, whether you are married in a church (or married at all) doesn't matter.
