Ceremony Music

Hi Brides!

has anyone looked into live musicians (violinists, flutist, harp, etc) for their ceremony? I'm getting married at my RH and would like to add a special touch for the ceremony. I've been emailing with Natalie at Capriccio and she's been super responsive and great at answering questions so far.

not sure how much is a good price (for 2-3 instruments) and what combination would be elegant, but fun at the same time. They played a couple of Beatles songs on their website which i thought was pretty cool and interesting!

I hired musicians through my DJ. I think it was $500 flat fee for a duo. Not sure if thats high or low.

I hired a guitarist through my DJ, it tends to be less expensive that way.

I don't know if you're having a band or DJ, but if you're having a band they'll often throw a musician or 2 into your package for a very low price.

We used Natalie and she did a beautiful job at our wedding. I think it's a matter of taste. We just had a violinist but I loved the sound of the harp and violinist.

My MOH's kid sister will be playing guitar for my ceremony! I've known her since she was 5 so she's like my little sister so its a nice way to have her included in the wedding!

Thanks everyone! I think i'll be using Natalie - she's been awesome with correspondence and attention to detail. Very important when planning a wedding LOL! And i actually priced through DJ's and it's not necessarily cheaper because they have to outsource the musicians and need to get a cut obviously.

I am trying to think of songs that would sound good on both. Do you have any suggestion? What are you doing?
