Ceremony music question...

This is probably a stupid question but, what is the difference in these different type of Ceremony music selections??? Postlude, Processional, Recessional, Prelude and Interlude??? I'm totally confused. Thanks!

Ceremony music question...

Your music person at the church will have you listen to all of it before you have to choose.

Karene...

We're getting married at the reception site. What I wanted to know was what is the difference in each of them, what is the time frame that each of them are to be played? I thought there was music while people are being seated, the march, and music after you're announced? When is each of these choices supposed to be played? I'm not sure if I asked it correctly... Thanks!

Ceremony music question...

Well, the Prelude is the music that's playing before the ceremony(while the guests are arriving). The Processional is for the bridal party/bride walking down the aisle at the start of the ceremony. The Recessional is at the end of the ceremony as you walk back up the aisle with your new hubby. The Postlude I guess would be different music played as the guests are leaving the ceremony area. The Interlude would be music during the ceremony.
