Ceremony Musicians/ Music -- what are you doing?

What are doing for ceremony music? Did you hire strings, a harp, a trio, a quartet, etc?? Did you just go with whatever the church provides? Who did you book? Any recommendations? About how much are spending on this area? Sorry so many questions but I need HELP!

We're having a string trio from Counterpoint

ETS: We are gettting married at the hall, if it were at a church I would have just used the music they provide.

We booked Sterling Music Ensembles. They have different ensembles - string trios, quartets, etc. We chose a flute quartet. We are also using the church organist for part of the mass.

I think I am using the harp and singer the church provides... its only a half hour ceremony and not everyone goes to it anyway. I rather put the money twords something else.

Though I have thought alot about string trios or harpist

We are using whoever and whatever the church provides. I am only really doing the ceremony in the church for my family so that part isnt too important to me.

I am getting married at the hall, and my band is prepared to provide a keyboard player and flutist that are very used to doing ceremonies (not just party music) both are classically trained musicians that can ALSO rock out LOL

Still not sure wht song though, I suppose I will let them give me suggestions.

I am having my RECESSIONAL to bagpipes... the song Believe me if all those endearing young charms

Its very upbeat and happy. FI's uncle plays the pipes and is doign that for us.

You can hear their stuff on the website. They are really nice and sound beasutiful. It's costing $1200 for 2 hours.
