ceremony time w/POLL

since i just saw someone elses post regarding friday night ceremony start times.. i decided i need to ask too lol..

we were thinking of having our ceremony start at 6pm (at the RH).. it's a friday night.. but the sun sets at 6:03.. and i wanted to do the cocktail hour outside, but in late october it may be too cold.. so i was thinking i should start the ceremony at 5:30 instead.. this way some of the cocktail hour will still be daylight.. what do you ladies think??? thanks in advance :)

I said 530 to be on the safe side. Alsooo what if you are running late etc... traffic and sich. I think you should have a buffer so incase you NEED to start a few min late you can.

I am doing exactly what you are. We are basing our ceremony and CH based on the sunset. I would do 5:30 so that you can have the cocktail hour during the sunset and get some great pictrues as well. Don't worry about the weather.....so far the past few yrs october and november have been sort of warm. We are getting married in NOvember and I am hoping for an outdoor ceremony.....

i'm thinking 6 only b/c it is a friday i would want to give guests as much time as possible. chances are if it's too early not as many people will make the ceremony

I am also getting married on Fri 10-24-08 and I didn't have a choice...my ceremony time is 530pm. I was really worried about it initially being too early for a Friday but asked quite a few of the guests. They all said they'd rather a Friday night than a Sunday night and it's one day and they want to be at my Ceremony so they'll take the day off. I am no longer worried. Whoever really wants to be there will be.

I totally agree about having some daylight.
