Change in honeymoon plans AGAIN
I know, we suck at making decisions. But we're going to hawaii now. The exchange rate is just a little bit too insane for us to swallow. Plus, my good friend is getting married in Oahu (in her hometown) on the first day of our honeymoon. I won't be able to fly there in time for the wedding, but several of my friends will be there and are making a vacay out of it. So we're going to try to meet up at some point.
We spending our entire 12 nights in Kauai. We originally were going to do Maui and Kauai, but my hawaiian friend told me not to bother with Maui because it has become so commercialized and touristy. She said we'd see the real hawaii in Kauai (she said that's where the hawaiians go for short vacations!)
We're HUGE Bed & Breakfast vacationers (we don't really like the huge resort chain hotels), so we found two small Inns that we're going to stay at:
Marjorie's Kauai Inn x 10 nights (south shore)...with our own private balcony and hot tub. Free tandem kayak, snorkel gear, BBQ grill, bikes, coolers etc for our personal use. And yummy home cooked breakfasts every night
Hale O'ho Mala B&B x 2 nights (north shore)...same ammenities, and 100 yards from the hanelei area beaches.
The best thing about the B&B's are the prices are SOOOO great for what you get!!!! (just to give you an idea of the role the exchange rate plays....we're paying almost half of what we'd pay for Greece...with equal, if not better accomodations)
Anyone else going to be in Kauai in May?!!
(oh yeah, we already booked everything...so no more changing!!!)

Hello hot tub!!! I am going to be in this thing EVERY night!
