Changing Banquet Managers???

Changing Banquet Managers???

Anyone know if it's possible or even awkward to do this? I just don't feel like my BM really cares about me and my FH and trust me, we are not difficult people. We went over our menu and he rushed us through it (apparently he had NEW clients to talk to) so he seemed like we are just taking TOO much of his time. We called him and we came from city (taking the subway, bus, walking then CAR) and it took 2 hours and we were maybe 5-10 late and called him. He made us feel like crap!!!!

THen he totally rushed us through the menu selection (which was less than 1 hour). I just didn't want to confront or cause a fight, but I really dread talking to him. I heard the other banquet manager is no better.

What to do? ANy suggestions?

Sorry, that stinks!

I don't know if you can change BM's....I used to work in RH sales and we had only one BM, so there was no one to switch to....

It doesn't hurt to ask and voice your concerns!

sorry to hear that... a lot of places we looked, we felt rushed even before we booked with them! being rushed through your wedding is a horrible feeling. we only have one BM at our RH, so I don't know what to suggest, but GL. I hope they start treating you better.

Yeah I can understand if they are busy, but to be condescending, etc, is just not acceptable to me.

It's our wedding, not HIS. Even if he thinks something is cheesy, or not his 'style' don't voice it on me.

there's no reason why they should treat you like that, even if they *are* busy. yes, this is a business, but it's a sensitive one and your most special day is at stake. have you considered telling the BM that you feel a little rushed through the whole thing and you'd appreciate it if you could slow things down and make sure that everything is going the way you want it? he probably assumes you're OK with his management style.
