Changing Date - Do you think sage dresses will work in December?
We had to push back our wedding from March of 09 to December of 09. I read the order slips from Burtons and it says the girls are still responsible for the remainder of the price of the dress (which was a total of $200). I was leaning towards doing either blue and silver or deep red as a new color theme, but now I don't know what to do because I have $800 worth of sage tea length dresses arriving probably next month. Do you think I should just cover the cost and try to resell and then go with a new color scheme or do you think the green would work? TIA

green would work.. you can do red bouquets and ivory and add gold accents.

ITA.
Christmas-y without being cheesy because it's not a forest green. Perfect!

The girls had to put down $100 to order them and then owe like $96 when they pick them up. I thought I'd just cover the deposit and change the color, but the order slip says that even if the dresses are canceled, they are still responsible for the entire cost.

IMO sage green no maybe emerald. I am using sage for my spring wedding. But if you like it go for it - you can use winter flowers to possibly make up for it

Ugh, I would just go with the sage. Its incredible how much they try to rip you off. I really think you could make it work. Unless you call them up and see if they could work with you. If it were me I would go with the sage....

I think it will be fine... i think any color will work any time of the year... work with your florist to have the flowers maybe add a bit of winter to the color scheme... love sage green by the way!!

i think you can definitely incorporate sage for december, as someone mentioned, you can add touches of red and ivory and sort of turn it into a christmas-y type feel!

It should work as long as you incorporate other colors such as red, or even brown.

I think sage could work...I believe I saw pics of girls in sage dresses on the knot. Check out winter weddings pics there.

you could always have the dresses died to a different color... a friend of mine had the same situation and had her changed from Pale pink to dark brown. just an idea
