DONT HYPHEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Since we are not married yet our daughter has both our last names (there was no way she wasn't having my name) I love the way it sounds I love the thought of it and then I went to the doctors and had to write it down and spell it to everyone and make appointments and say well its hyphened and its so long and sooooooooooooooooo annoying.

I always thought it would annoy her when she got older didn't realize it would annoy me now.
I wish I could hyphen because I love my name so much but its really annoying to have such a long last name. Once we get married he is actually kinda demanding we change her last name also to just his. It will be easier

Im sad to not have my name anymore but Ill get over it (thats what FH says also he says are you kidding why r you sad you loser lmao)

Tough one and Im still debating over it. Its either I am going to hyphenate both names or Just take his. I have not decided yet. My dad died and its just us daughters so it would be tough to drop my last name. Its a pretty well known family name around where I live too so that makes it harder to get rid of. Decisions, Decisions...

I'm taking his! I have 2 brothers to carry our last name on. He's the only one in his family with the opportunity to carry it on. But I would take his anyway!

Definately keeping mine professionally, but as far as totally, I dont think I will be in a rush to change it!!

I don't find the whole name change offensive at all. Besides I couldn't imagine having a different last name than my children!! It's part of being family to me.

FH said its a deal breaker if I dont take his name so I will be Lisa Duggan (which my family hates by the way and the take every opportunity to let me know that.)

I'm taking his...Its so easy to pronouce and to spell. I've been tortured my whole life with my last name. People butcher the crap out of it lol

I'm taking his. I just always wanted to do this, this is the new family that we are starting together so I def think we should have the same last name. I love his last name too so that is a major plus!
