I'm just curious, how many of you are changing your last name? I was just assuming I'd add his on at the end, but not drop my name. No hyphen, just a space...almost like making my last name another middle name. I'm a teacher, and I really couldn't imagine the kids calling me anything else!!
Now, FH was fine with me using MY last name for work, and his for everything else, but when I mentioned last night the idea of just adding his to mine and not actually dropping mine, he was really offended! Why?? I don't get it. Is anyone else having this dilemma?

i will be taking his last name. he is an only child & it was important to his dad that i changed my name. although i would change anyway, i am doing it to respect his wishes.
