Re: changing religions.....
Take some time to think about it and do what you want to do. Don't let anyone try to tell you what religon you should practice. I was going to convert but I decided not to.
PS Im catholic FH is Greek Orthodox. We are raising the kids Orthodox.

Re: changing religions.....
You should follow what you want regarding religion.
Not to start anything, but I personally think there can be a degree of hypocrisy in any religion…that’s what happens when real, flawed people are involved. I was raised Catholic and even went to a Catholic high school and college for a year, but I’m not really a practicing member. I have a lot of respect for its traditions and history, so I’m not planning on leaving, but we’re not having our ceremony in a church either. It took some time for my mom and grandmother to be okay with this, but they just have to respect our beliefs.

I think when deciding on a religion you should focus more on the principles of the religion and less on the adminstrators. Do you believe what the Catholic religion teachers? The deep precepts of it? If you do, they I would hope that some bad priests and bad press wouldnt change your beliefs. You'll be imparting what you feel about religion to your children - so make sure you really truly want to make the change before you switch.

Re: changing religions.....
I was seriously considering converting to Greek Orthodox....b/c If i was to raise my children GO, then I would want to understand what Im teaching and guiding them through...
But one sunday I went to church and the priest made a comment about the jewish religon..how they have been through so much and their religon still stands strong and he admires it., the jews fought hard to hold their beliefs., he commented how you must stay true to your religon and not to loose your identity...
If you dont identify with the Catholic religon., do what is best for you and your beliefs.
It moved me..hope this helps.
I decided I was going to learn about the GO Religon...I bought a study bible so when its time to raise my kids..I will understand it.
