I love heels but to wear them all day and night long will never happen for me...my feet will be in pain! Please share what you're changing into (if you're changing shoes) at the reception...

Re: Changing shoes at the reception???
I'm used to wearing heels all day (I wear them every day for work) so they probably won't bother me, but since you never know....I'll have a pair of flip-flops in the bridal suite if by chance my feet start to hurt.

I love shoes too, but my feet and shoes do not love each other! I am changing to a pair of white ladies ballerinas. I found them at the totes outlet store in Woodbury. They are cushioned and sooooo comfy!

one pair- white from JCrew ( I swear by them they are so comfortable)
2nd pair- White Just married Flip Flops ( I want them to show in the sand for pics

Re: Changing shoes at the reception???
I never wear heels. I did this past weekend to practice. OMG i was a mess. My thighs were sooo tired that they were buckling. Gonna keep practing though. With that, there is no way I will be wearing heels all day and night. After the first dance, they are coming off and I am putting on ballet shoes.

Re: Changing shoes at the reception???
The first pair is the shoes i'm wearing at the church and hopefully as much as the reception as I can, They are pretty comfy, but i'm bringing these slippers as a back up just in case
I am going to wear my heels until after the first dance....then changing into ballet shoes. I want to be comfortable and enjoy myself. I don't think my feet will make it much passed that! My friend got married and she got low heels and said she had no problem and ended up wearing them all night. I would be prepared for anything. Being miserable with sore feet would be awful!

Re: Changing shoes at the reception???
I'm going to get platform flip flops just in case my heels hurt, even though I wear them all day every day. I don't want flats b/c then my dress will drag since my heels are over 3'!

I'm also going to try to find platform flipflops as backup.. my shoes are also over 3' and dont want to trip or step on my dress in flats..

Probably something like this (from VS) in white....
ETS: some of the only ones I've found that are high enough.....I will never wear these again, but it's worth the $20 to me just in case I am dying!

Re: Changing shoes at the reception???
it depends. my sister bought me shoes that are higher than i planned on wearing. i love them though and as long as they are not too high for my dress i'll wear them. i don't see them being comfortable allll day so I wanted a backup pair. flips are a last resort... i might just do another fun pair of heels that are more comfy.

those are hot.....i LOVE them.....that is part of my plan as well.....im going to get super sexy heels for the wedding/pictures but if my feet start hurting i want to be able to take them off.....those will keep me looking tall and i dont want my dress dragging on the floor - so im def going to get a flip flop platform wedge

Re: Changing shoes at the reception???
you want to be comfortable.. especially if you are wearing high heels for the ceremony and if you will be standing all the time..
I would suggest another pair of shoes.. w/ some heel if you want.. or maybe you can walk into w/ the new shoes..

Re: Changing shoes at the reception???
I have a low heel sandal for the ceremony but I will definitely be changing into ballet flats or white flip flops....I have tendonitis in my ankle so I really can't wear heels that long. I also plan on buying my girls flip flops for the reception. FH's cousin took Old Navy flip flops and glued on flowers and they were really cute so I'm thinking of doing something like that because they have tea length dresses. Rhinestones maybe?

Re: Changing shoes at the reception???
MAYBE lol...i wont do flip flops though bc its not that easy to dance in them...they slip off your feet and certain moves are hard to do in flip flops. I would change into a hot pair of sneakers though hahaha, and no not wedding sneakers but probably a pair of nike sb dunks or something
but considering you are a dancer melissa, it might be hard dancing in flip flops bc im sure youll be ripping up the dance floor
