I am getting married 05/18/2013 and think I have finally decided that I am in with The Chateau Briand. Now here's the kicker. I currently live in GA (but I'm a New Yorker, born and raised) so I am doing a lot via internet and phone. I just wanted to get some info from Brides about pricing, quality of the food, options of location of cocktail hour (I really want my cocktail hour outside), etc. Please help! Any info is appreciated. Thanks

Re: Chateau Briand Brides HELP
I'm in a wedding there next week. I can let you know how the food is! Not sure about the outdoor cocktail hour. I know they have that whole 'southbeach' theme patio. It will be too cold for that this time of year for me to experience it.
From what you told me, the price is below what your max was. If it's a popular date, it could be just at your max but I don't believe it's over that. Friday or Sundays will save even more $$.
They should also give you a free night at the Fox Hollow Inn for your wedding night

Thanks for the info I appreciate any details you can give after the wedding. I thought about having the wedding on a Sunday but I want to have a brunch that day so Saturday is ideal for us. Thanks again for your help!

Re: Chateau Briand Brides HELP
Well they are on the cheaper end on the island. The price per person is somewhere around $50 to $85 per person depending on what day you choose. So obviously Saturday's being the most expansive. The outdoors looks like somewhere in miami. I'm not in love with their rooms but what you see online is how it looks like. The food is ok but you definitely get your money's worth.

I think the draped ceiling looks really nice online. You don't like the way that looks? I haven't seen it in person yet though.

@ Lilyn345- Thanks for the info. The outdoors is what really sold me. I want to incorporate steel drum players at my cocktail hour. My FH and both his parents are from Trinidad and his dad loves the steel drum, so I thought it would be perfect together! and his dad lives in Florida now (30 min from Miami lol) I also loved the rooms. They match my color scheme (copper and gold)Thanks again!

@ Royalgem21 I love the draped ceilings too and I haven't been to the CB in years, but I always remembered how beautiful it was

Jahpan, they are not cheap but try the entertainment company Elegancia or something like that. They are always at the bridal shows. I think their rates might be better but I'm not sure.

I think it's more like $90++ on the weekends and it goes up from there depending on the week/day and also the upgrade options. I think it's only that low when it's really off season and a weekday wedding or party.

It's gorgeous!!! && in one of the rooms, the bride & groom's entrance is through the middle of the dance floor. So cool!

Re: Chateau Briand Brides HELP
I am having my wedding there next September, and have been to weddings here before. The food is unbelievable!! Honestly the best food Ive had at a wedding, and the spread is just amazing, the food keeps coming and coming.
As for the outside cocktail hour, it depends on when your wedding will take place. I for example am getting married on site so my ceremony will be outside but my cocktail hour will be inside. They have different slots available for outdoor cocktail hours. You just need to coordinate with your banquet manager and he'll let you know.
Saturdays are defiantly the most expensive, then Fridays then Sundays. They have 3 rooms as well depending on the size of your wedding.
Overall the Chateau is just an amazing place to get married. I hope this helped. Good Luck
