we just showed up lol it might have been 230-3 there werent any issues, our room was ready. the guys got there around the same time (even tho i told DH to wait..but hes not good with time) so they were stuck in a much smaller room doing nothing since they were just taking pics of the girls first. but everything went very smoothly, AND there was another wedding going on (a large one too) but still very smooth

I would have them put it in your contract. I heard a few girls had issues with coming earlier to take pics.

my ceremony and reception was at CH. i was allowed to take pictures 2 hours before the ceremony. me and my girls and my husband and his groomsmen.. husband and i decided not to see each other before we walk down the aisle. during CH we took pictures together with our bridal party

This thread is giving me anxiety!! We are getting married there in Nov 2014 and are under the assumption that we can take photos wherever we want. We will be there two hours prior to the wedding just for photos. Going to call my BM in the morning!

Kanne, where did you go when you wanted to take pictures during your CH? As long as that isnt an issue I will feel better! Figured if we are there 2 hours prior (one good point that a photographer mentioned was you really dont get 2 FULL hours since you need to be in your bridal suite before guests arrive, etc). but even if we get a solid hour and a half plus I use 30 mins of my cocktail hour that should be plenty of time to get great photo's in? Hopefully!

we went to their backyard, by their swimming pool. during cocktail hour we went by their gazebo to take pictures with everyone in the bridal party.

We took pictures by a gazebo and the arch of the ceremony area before hand. At night we went by the pool and took pictures there.

They definitely do not let you go whereever you want. They are not able to because they are very good about making sure you are not running into other parties or weddings.

Where do they have you do like the big family shots? I just don't want any issues if I want to take pictures during my cocktail hour. I don't think I will care what area I get, as long as I get one!

since there will be other people getting married, you dont get to go where ever you want. Cant have two brides fighting over the same spot or trying to share it. but there are so many places that its really not an issue.

it was raining on my wedding with another very large wedding going on, and i was worried about where we would take pics but there wasnt any issues what so ever. it was actually really funny walking around the hall, everyone was on walkie talkies seeing if the coast was clear. i felt like i was in a spy movie or something.

we had pics in the ceremony space and alot in our room and a few by the windows leading outside to show the rain lol
. every time we thought we could run out for a few mins to take pics by the pool or something it would rain. DH and the grooms men were able to go outside tho
