CHCC Music for Ceremony
Hi Girls...I remember them saying 'no amplified music' does that mean we cant have our DJ play his CD's for the ceremony?! I hope that isnt the case....

I think they mean during cocktail hour you can't have any amplified music such as a singer with their mic hooked to speakers or speakers blasting ch music, etc. I'm booked w/ chcc too and I'm having my dj play cd's for my ceremony

This. Our DJ has done plenty of weddings there and said it wouldn't be a problem. Since weddings there are staggered, they don't want someone's CH music interfering with someone else's ceremony.
We were going to do a steel drummer at CH for the exact same reason, but when we went to a showcase we saw our DJ's saxaphonist, and he was outrageous, so we're going with him instead. I think a steel drummer is great though!

My friend that got married at CHCC had a trio of string players for their cocktail hour. They played all modern songs and even some classic rock (STairway to heaven was sick!) They were fantastic. I can ask her for their info if anyone is interested.

Pinkisles - We are having someone play during the cocktail hour, but we are interested in having a string trio play during the ceremony. May I ask who you are using?

I had my DJ play for my ceremony. The no amplified music is for the cocktail hour (if it is outside)
