You don't need your birth certificate if you do it in Queens, Manhattan, Brooklyn, etc. :) There's a place on Queens Blvd and like 82nd Avenue around there where you can do it with a driver's license/passport ;)

so exciting!!!

We went to the one in SI. All we needed was a driver's license and an credit card for the 35 dollar application fee. They also accept money orders. We filled out the form online and got a confirmation number, so we didn't have to fill anything out once we got there.
