The only children that will be at our wedding are;
- FG and RBs (since they are in the wedding party)
- and families coming from out of town (this is mostly FH's side coming in from Europe).
Other than that, no one else is being invited with children. I have second cousin's I am inviting that I fear won't get the hint that '2 seats reserved in your honour' means you cannot bring your children with you.

The only children we're having at the wedding are those in the BP (2 FG's and 1 RB).
Otherwise, I have cousins that will be there but they will all be 15+, so I really don't consider them to be children.
Thats what we are doing, only the BP children are invited or else it would be over 30 just on my side

NO KIDS! ! I have waayyyy to many children to inivite even if i just did family and if i dont say no children my guests would still bring their kids....im acutally going to write adult reception on the invite somewhere......or maybe have to flat out say no kids! spanish people reallly dont seem to understand this concept.

Re: Children at Reception
My niece and nephew are my FG and RB, and since I'm getting married at the RH they are going to be in the ceremony and then leave right after CH. I also have a cousin who's 8 that will do the same (he's not in the wedding, but will leave with my FH and RB after the CH).
Our reception is strictly adults only...

Re: Children at Reception
We decided to invite them, but we dont have a ton...only 4 really young ones and then another few between 12-18. I'm kind of hoping the parents of the young ones decide to just get a sitter, but if they bring them thats fine too. I may make a couple of the adorable children activity books I've seen floating around.

Re: Children at Reception
we had 2 tables of 'kids' they ranged from 2 - 17. I wouldnt have had it any other way. DH has 23 nieces and nephews ranging form 2 t o29 and 3 great nieces. Family is family and they made our day so special!

Re: Children at Reception
we're having children at the wedding (although i think it's too much $ for kids) but FH really wants kids there. He says that he had so much fun as a kid running around during weddings (which i wouldn't want them running around). I had the complete opposite feeling and was SO BORED at weddings when i was a child. I'll give it to him though..punk

Re: Children at Reception
I didn't want any children at my wedding, except my niece who is the FG and my 2 younger cousins (14 and 11) maybe even 15 and 12 by then. I don't consider my one cousin a kid anymore at age 14/15 but his brother I do, but I can't invite one without the other. I asked them to be ushers at the wedding and hand out programs so no one could say well why were they invited.
The only other exception I have is another really close family friend that we call 'cousins' I am not very close with them anymore, but I wouldn't feel right not inviting them. One is 20 (not a kid) and the sister is like 13. I can't invite one without the other so they are both invited. At 13 she could pass as a teen anyway.
No kids on FH's side. The kids are all second cousins so we are saying that we are not inviting second cousins to eliminate anyone saying anything to us about it.
