We are only having our nieces and nephews. Which is around 10 but they vary in age from 4-18. Absolutely no friends or cousins kids are invited.
I already had a friend tell me if her kids werent invited that she wouldnt be able to come. Now mind you, when she got married she had NO kids at her wedding. She has parents, in laws and a sister and a brother and sister in law all local that can watch them.
The decision is hers but she will not bring them to our wedding.

I guess I'll be the 'black sheep' here because I just can't imagine not having the kids there.

To begin with, 7 of them comprise my wedding party. There are also four others that are not in the bridal party but will be at the reception. They are such a big part of our lives, the day would not be complete if we couldn't share it with them.

My sisters were given the choice to include or not include the younger ones in the reception, so if they wanted to party, they have a babysitter who could take any or all of them. I left it up to them.

The youngest is 2 (he's not attending reception) and then they range in age from 5 to 16. All of them are responsible, well behaved children with parents who have no problem reigning them in if they get a little out of hand.

But they are still children and I expect them to have a good time, which means dancing and eating and taking part.

I am only paying $25. for any kid 12 or under, and that includes either a kid's menu or they can have what we're having. A small price for the joy of having these kids attend the biggest moment in our lives.

we are in the same situation, we are having children- FAMILy, I mean my Fhs brother is 9 years old and OF COURSE he will be there...they will be fine the youngest is 5 and their paretns are all greta and if not DOC knows to reign them in and calm them down BUt they will be great and I couldnt imagine them not there...HOWEVER other guests kids are NOT invited and some on FHs side have been pretty pissed- LIke friends with kids who refuse to go if they arent invited--- give me a break! You may remember the vent awhile back about it....well it was taken care of and a final decision made- but it hasnt been easy!

We originally said no children, but ended up having to invite a couple. We invited my two year old first cousin (even though our cutoff age was 13), and ended up invited one of my mom's cousins kids (she's a single mom and has a son who is 16 and a daughter who is 10).

Other than that, we said no kids...It's would've added more than 30 people to our guest list!
