I vote yes. It's the new 'in' thing which is why it's $750 - $1,000 to add it for vienesse hour.

I saw it at a bridal expo a few months ago (Marriott) and also at the Riviera expo on March 10 (last week).

There was a long line for it at the marriott expo but at the Riviera show there was no line. There are trays of fruit, marshmellows, rice krispy treats, etc. and skewers to spear the fruit etc and put it in the fountain. The guests grab a plate and put the chocolate covered items on it and walk away - just like other cocktail items I presume. I do think there will be an initial line for those who have never seen it.

This is a pic from the Riviera expo

If we could afford to have it, we definately would. They're very yummy and it's so nice when that smell of chocolate fills the room

I really like it. It has a line, but it moves pretty quickly, and it's new and different so people are really into it. If I can afford it, or I can get my hall to throw it in or something, I'm going to have it..if not, then I'm not that worried. I have a viennese already

I am a chocolate addict, but I'm going to have to say NO to the fountain. It's rather expensive - i got quoted for 650 at fox hollow, and they told me that it's fantastic, but people honestly are very happy with what they get w/out the fountain....people won't even know it's missing! I'd rather take the 650 and put it towards my dress, flowers, honeymoon, etc...good luck!

A lot of the brides on here have raved about it. I think it's a little yucky, but I'm pretty sure i'm in the minority on this one. That being said, it's a matter of personal taste.

How could you think its yucky?

I know my DH was afraid of double dippers

I agree. I think they are very....yuck. But it's a matte of taste. Do what you want to do.

I'm with you on that 100%! I got a quote of $750 from my place. That's WAY too much money!!

That's an awful lot for me too considering my whole reception is WAY under 10K. My guests are already having cake and another dessert. How much can people eat? Most people are full after the cocktail hour. I'd rather put the money toward something else.

Is this for dessert or as part of the cocktail hour?

YES I can't wait

DEFINITE YES! We had it and it was such a hit. I would definitely spend less on other areas to budget for it.
