Choosing a DJ...Help!
+1 for Baranttini and Neil from New York Nights. My best advice is to make appointments with the ones you feel a pull toward. You'll know when you meet them if they are what you're looking for.

Thanks for the advice. We decided to do that and we have a few appointments coming up. I guess I will go with who we feel most comfortable with and who is within our budget. It seems like everyone likes all of the options. No one has said anything negative about any of the companies so I guess you really can't go wrong.

I thought vendors were not allowed to post in the forums? It must be the reason brides are forming facebook groups and not using the forums nearly as much anymore. Who can speak honestly about a vendor when they know they're lurking.

We went with DJ Mouse who we had seen at a benefit for hurricane Sandy and who was highly recommended by several of our friends who were guests at our wedding. He did an amazing job at out wedding and had everyone dancing. Let me know if you're interested

I'm sorry. I have to. This is why this forum has dwindled.

You know what sold FH on baranttini RCotter? The holiday party. Did he tell you about that? That was the 'family' atmosphere he was looking for.

Re: Choosing a DJ...Help!
I booked Bravo Sound. I actually met them at a New Years Eve party at Terrace on the Park two years ago. I had so much fun, I literally danced from the moment I walked in until the very end. I love to dance so when I went DJ shopping I was very picky! They work with you in terms of your budget (he gave me the best quote from a lot of other djs). They have all the latest equipment, like 20 different disk jockeys and hosts. I didn't want to hire a 'friend' or 'someone who knows someone' for insurance purposes and stuff. I'm so happy they were available! Hope this helps. Happy planning!

After Hours - PhilYou are posting under the WRONG forum, this is BRIDES helping BRIDES... Very unprofessional to try and make a bride feel badly about her decision. This is exactly why I rarely use LIW forums anymore.

I completely agree with the rest of the ladies! So unprofessional. As I said, Bravo Sound is great, I couldn't be happier with my choice. Vendors should just let the Brides speak amongst themselves. If you're good, you're good and the reviews will rave that.

Vendors are not suppose to have the ability to post on any forum other than VHB. This is a programming bug that they're working on now. Please accept our apologies.

Choosing a DJ...Help!
Thanks for the responses everyone! I got some FM from vendors and started to regret using this forum to ask questions because of all the dj responses. I wasn't looking for them to tell me why I should use them I was looking for brides to tell me. It's left me feeling like I don't want to post and ask questions about vendors on here. But again I appreciate all of the feedback!Welcome New Vendors
