Choosing a DJ...Help!
Hi everyone! This is my first post. I got engaged in November, booked my venue and that's about it. I am stuck on a dj and am being very indecisive because I am receiving so many recommendations.I was hoping anyone who has used these companies might be able to offer me some feedback.
Marc Bauman Entertainment- recommended by original dj I wanted to book
East End Entertainment-recommended by the venue
LI Sound
After Hours
Stylin Sounds
We are looking for a club feel with hip hop but also rock and not too much mixing. We don't like cheesy things, too many oldies or emcees that are too present.
Thanks so much to everyone who replies. I just am feeling stuck with this decision and am hoping with some feedback it might make this easier.

Choosing a DJ...Help!
We are still looking for a DJ but, we met with After Hours and really liked them. When we went for the appointment, the owner had pics of his set up at our venue on the TV and I just felt really comfortable that he knew our venue space and what works/what doesn't. Our next appointment is with Tommy's Tunes based on recommendations on this site and the majority of my friend's and family.I have heard nothing but positive thing about LI Sound and I think if you want a more club feel then they are a great choice. Pretty much every DJ will do what you want/play what you want as long as you tell them. Hope this helps alil!

Thank you! My cousin used Phil from After Hours and it was a different feel then we want for ours but he was great. They also have steel drum players that were really good which we are looking for too. I've been seeing a lot about Tommy's Tunes on here. Could you please let me know after you meet how it goes? Thanks for your help!

I booked with Phil from afterhours. He did my friends wedding and we loved how he had the crowd going! Most dj places ask you for a list of music that you would want played, and a list of songs you wouldn't want. They do a pretty good job of only playing songs you want. I hear unique entertainment is good also

The wedding we went to that Phil did was a Sunday morning into afternoon and they did do a great job of having all of us up and moving. How did you feel their prices were compared to others and were they flexible at all? Thanks for your input

We are using Absolute Entertainment. They have been nothing but helpful and gave me no issues when I had to call and switch venues (they gave me back the money for the white booth since I don't need it now without me even asking for it). We met with Phil from after hours but he would have been $1000 more for less then Absolute was giving us.

We went with After Hours for our engagement party and they were fantastic, so we booked them for the wedding too. They have great insight into what you want to hear. We only filled out the 10 songs we wanted to hear list, because we were so short on time, but they took this and got it completely right. My family and his danced the entire night, and it was perfect. Definitely the best decision we made.

After hours prices was less compared to others. I'm paying $2000 for an mc and dj, light up dj booth, and two light up towers with moving heads. We didn't need much lighting since our room had lighting built in
