Christian/Jewish Interfaith Brides

Are you providing yarmulkes (spelling wrong, i know lol)?

I've seen some Jewish weddings where they match the BP colors. I'm thinking black ones.

Any websites you can recommend to me?

I think yarmulkes.com or yarmulke.com.

We'll most likely be doing them, probably just in black, with our names printed on the inside (Doug has a whole collection of them from various events). I don't know if you also want to provide head coverings for the women? I habnt even really thought of this. It's not 100% necessary since we won't be getting married in a temple, but I don't know, something to consider

We went with white satin ones...I felt they were more appropriate for a wedding.

Same with us

we ordered white satin with beanie on top from yarmulkes.com
In my experience we only get the suede black ones from the Orthodox weddings we have attended. As for head coverings our wedding is in an Orthodox temple but we are not providing them and are not required to offer them. fyi - they are lace doilys (sp?) worn as head coverings secured with a bobby pin for married women only.

So you think white is appropriate? I feel like it's better for a wedding too, but I don't know how people feel about wearing the white ones.

We were going to and my MIL was going to order them but then she and I both agreed, any deeply religious Jew would bring one. Nobody missed them. Even DH went without one.

I had ivory ones. I also wore an ivory dress.

Wow - did you have a cantor or a rabbi there?
Would they insist that the groom wearing a yarmulke is necessary? My fiance isn't religious at all...and his family go to temple only on the two most holy days of the year. (need to get judaicated) LOL

My DH didn't have to wear a yarmulke, but he's Catholic. We had one Jewish GM and he and my dad were the only ones in the ceremony to wear one.

yes, a lot of weddings that I have been to or have seen yarmulkes from were white satin. After all, they call the color 'bridal white.'

My FMIL is crocheting WHITE yarmulkes for the BP and any other male who walks down the aisle (ie my brother and FH's uncle). All other guests will be wearing suede yarmulkes that match the BP dresses in a variation of navy. Though navy suede looks almost black so we may go a shade lighter.
