Christmas Gift Idea-What do you think?
This year will be a $$ tight year for DH (since the wedding and buying a new home) and me. Since DH is a chef/baker I was thinking we could bake breads, jam, cookies, etc. and make baskets for our family and friends w/ baked goodies in it for them. I saw tons of baskets at the thrift store for like 69cents+ But I don't know if this would be a cheezy gift.I need your 2cents/opinion.
Thanks!

Re: Christmas Gift Idea-What do you think?
I actually did something similar when I was a kid. I had a bright idea that I should make everyone cookies for Christmas gifts. And not just one kind of cookie...I made about 4 or 5 different kinds, put them on platters and wrapped them up in pretty paper.Everyone loved--or at least they said they did
--my gift. I'm sure since your hubby is a chef, everything will be delicious! Yum!!

Re: Christmas Gift Idea-What do you think?
Thanks for your inputs! I would love to get a gift like this as well....I thought I would spend money on a jar of jam (like fauchon--yum) and make the baskets all pretty and a bit personalized.
