Chubby Brides- Pre-wedding weight loss?

Has anyone had any success losing weight with NV or anything similar? I need to drop like 50+ lbs by my wedding. I don't want to look huge in my dress.

Please share any tips. I know Trim Spa and all that is a quick fix, but just to get the ball rolling. I joined a gym 6 months ago and have been doing OK with it, but have hit a plateau. I can't stop eating! Help!

Listen.....I think you can totally do this on your own, no diet pills! Try Weight Watchers, the core program for me worked really quickly and I felt great! It was easy to follow too!

I think if you cut out some carbs and junk food, and try to fill up on proteins, veggies and fruits, you will be fine. Aim to exercise 5 times a week. You have plenty of time, you can do it!

I dont believe in diet pills...just continue working out but consistency is the key...To do it 3x a week one week then go a few weeks without doing it wont get results...So keep a schedule and dont be afraid to push yourself when working out. The more you feel it the more youre burning.

As far as food, it becomes a mental thing at this point. You really have to stay focused on the goal. Just think about how you'll feel if you dont reach your goal.

WW is the way to go. You have plenty of time to lose that amt. I lost over 50 lbs with WW. Since moving in w/ FH, I've found 15 of them, so I'm going back to get back down to where I was. The first two weeks are the hardest, but then it's pretty smooth sailing after that. Good luck!!

Thanks girls. I will just keep working out and eating light. It's so hard. I love food :(

Its about healthy choices and excercise. I'm down 15 lbs and started to plateau but I'm trying to keep it going.

I agree with the girls, WW is definitely the way to go. As far as the gym, have you considering working out with a trainer? That might be what you need to change it up a bit along with dieting.

Okay - but what do you do if you HATE vegetables???? I can eat all the fruit in the world - but i can't make myself like veggies...

I have to agree with a lot of the other ladies...WW. I was too scared to try any diet pills so I joined WW to try and lose a little weight. I love to eat too so I didn't think I could lose anything more than 10-15 pounds. I started in January and lost a total of 44 pounds doing flex with WW. I hit my goal a few weeks ago. I have never felt so proud of myself. I have some before and after pics in my album.

Good luck! It is possible. I hit several plateaus and even gained numerous times along the way, but I just kept sticking to it. Meetings helped me once I found the right leader for me who motivated me. I also attend them with my dad. It helps to have support. You have a lot of time left. I would avoid those potentially dangerous pills and lose the weight slowly so it is more likely to stay off.

My trainer recommends a lot of cardio! at least 45 mins 4 times a day.

You can do it without the pills... they're not good for you anyway. some have a high level of caffeine in them and it makes you heart race.

Good Luck and keep updating us!

I am just venting. I had a doctor's appointment yesterday. Of course I got on the scale. I have been watching what I eat. BUT I have not lost one pound! ***! Yes, my FH said maybe I am the type that has to do both eat well & exercise. I need a good push to do that. I can start but I don't stick to it for whatever reason. I thought I would have lost something. It's just depressing.

ok, i might not be an expert when it comes to training or CSCS certified BUT cardio 4 times a day for 45 mins is WAY too much. if you plan to exercise more than once a day, it should be cardio and weight training/toning. No one should ever be recommending cardio 4 times a day for 45 minutes.

(i did go to school for athletic training and exercise science btw)

exercise is the best way and honestly with just eating right at first it might take a bit to lose the weight or sometimes i see ppl dieting and thinking they're eating right but they're really not...you cant eat too little bc your body will store fat if you go too many hours without eating

I've heard that 45 mins of cardio 4x a week is a must. I'm sure that's what she meant. Though celebs do like 3 hours a day I've read. I once read that Britney Spears was doing like 1000 sit ups a day w/her trainer. I can't imagine doing that much work. I can hardly stay on the treadmill for more than 25 mins :(
