I am getting married at a church that doesn't allow bare shoulders. I have called them to confirm this, but I have seen pics on here of girls who had bare shoulders. Has anyone gone against the church and not wore a cover up, if not what do you think they would do if I didn't have a cover up. I honestly don't want one at all.

i have heard of some churches doing this, and i think on ur wedding day the odds of getting away with it depend on the church.. Some are just more strict than others.. my SIL got married in a church that apparently had this rule, but i know three other people that had strapless & halter top gowns that weren't given a problem the day of. Honestly though i wouldn't risk it...if for some reason u have ur heart set on the church, then be sure to bring something with u just in case - God forbid u get there & they're unreasonable & make u cover up with something ugly!
maybe ask if the sides of your veil are over your shoulders... if that's ok?
