Church Cost

I just found out that it is almost $700 for the church!!! Is that ludicrous!!??

Yes.. I like the way they call it a 'Contribution' too.

Nope, that was what I found for the high average. One place quoted me over $1000!!

I am getting a good deal then. Mine is only $350 then add on $250 for pre cana.

$250 - church
$175 - officiant
$175 - organist
$60 - sexton

$660 total - it's even more if I need bows and a program.

not catholic - no pre cana.

Mine is $500 for the church (which include the organist) and $75 for the cantor.

WOW....our church was only $250.

$100 for organist
$100 for Soloist
$50 for Sexton

Nothing for the Pastor to do 'Pre-Cana' (in the Lutheran church they dont call it Pre-CAna) or for her to do the ceremony either.

Pre-cana through the diocese was $125.

mine is $575

Well I must have gotten a great deal because my church isn't charging us at all. The pastor said we can use the church just as long as we go to through 6 months of marriage counseling before hand. We said o.k. and now we go to the church atleast twice a month to make donations and to really show we want to be apart of there church because we are not members.

We have not started the marriage counseling yet but I assume it will be getting under way shortly. i think it will be a good thing the marriage counseling i could find some things out I maybe did'nt know.

Tell me about it! We are paying $400 and just found out last night, that there is a $75 Pre-Cana fee that is due on the first night of Pre-Cana.
