I just found out that it is almost $700 for the church!!! Is that ludicrous!!??

$100 for organist $100 for Soloist $50 for Sexton
Nothing for the Pastor to do 'Pre-Cana' (in the Lutheran church they dont call it Pre-CAna) or for her to do the ceremony either.

My Church requested a donation, but only requires a $75 fee for the musical director. We'll probably give $300-300 donation.

It seems like a lot, but honestly the church does need the donations to keep it running. I mean, you wouldn't want to arrive at the church on your wedding day and see that it hadn't been cleaned or the bathrooms not maintained. Churchs, especially some Catholic Churches, don't have the attendance they used to, they need to make up the deficits somehow and this is just one way.
