Church doesn't allow rose petals...

My church doesn't allow the flower girl to scatter rose petals and doesn't allow anything to be 'thrown' as you leave the church... any suggestions for what we can do besides:
-handing out single roses to guests on end pews
-bubbles as we leave
-ribbon wands as we leave
These are things I'm already considering.
(I don't think I want to release butterflies or doves either)
Ideas?

Bubbles - might make walking surface slippery - like the limestone many churches use for stairs...or marble....just a thought.

how about little bells that people could ring. another thought with the bubbles is that they could stain dresses depending on the material. it happened to a bridesmaid dress i had to wear, but it took me a while to figure out what it was.

This is the same at my church they do not want anything thrown in the church .
but we can throw whatever we want outside

What about ringing those little bells or releasing white balloons. My limo company does the balloon release for free.

Our church doesn't allow anything except birdseed. I am not a fan of birdseed b/c all my friends that got married used it and they told me they were picking it out of their hair all night! We're using bubbles.

We have the same restrictions in our church, about the rose petals, but my florist had a fantastic idea for an alternative. They have this stuff now that is called 'designer' rice - its heartshaped and biodegradeable. If someone steps on it, it breaks down into a powder that blows away , or if it gets wet it completely disintegrates. Its about $30 for a bag and it will make up to 100 little rice packets.

Maybe silk rose petals instead?? they won't stain like the regular ones can.

My church doesn't allow rose petals either ...but I was thinking of doing it anyway our priest told us if he dosen't see it and it's outside he would look the other way. I like the bubbles in pictures too.

They have these streamer thingies too. My church won't allow rose petals either so we're doing the heart shaped designer rice. My MOH did the bells for her wedding.

Our church was the same way, but they did let the flowergirl use silk rose petals and that worked out great. We chose not to have anything thrown at us anyway, so we were fine with that. We had just our wedding party do bubbles for pictures and the pics came out good with that.

my friends flower girl was told by everyone NOT to throw down rose petals, then, just as she started to walk down the aisle, the limo driver (who supplied the runner) reminded her to do it...and she did, innocently!
