My church doesn't allow the flower girl to scatter rose petals and doesn't allow anything to be 'thrown' as you leave the church... any suggestions for what we can do besides: -handing out single roses to guests on end pews -bubbles as we leave -ribbon wands as we leave These are things I'm already considering. (I don't think I want to release butterflies or doves either) Ideas?

The thing about designer rice...it is OK for birds and squirrels to eat it...which is a good thing but some churches still won't allow it because then they say the birds poop more on their steps. I really don't see why they think the birds will stay there on the steps and wait until the rice is digested and then poop over the stairs...but I'll ask my priest.

Michaels also has permanent bubbles, they don't pop like regular bubbles. I think it was $10 for 24, they look like little wand sticks, and the container is like a hot pink.

My church doesnt allow rose petals or mostly anything, but I hired someone to clean up after the ceremony and they were OK with it.
Give it a try. I am paying a local kid from the church $50 to clean up after us.
