Church prices?

Church prices?

I know some churches say there is a mandatory fee/donation fee, and some say there is just a donation...how much is this fee typically? FSIL & FBIL paid a mandatory fee of about $700? Is that normal? What is everyone else paying?

I am waiting to meet with my priest so I wasn't told yet.

gotta love the system....a forced donation....mines $450 and apparently your supposed to tip the priest....i dont think soo!!!! i'm only tipping the alter boys if we have any

Seriously...I didn't know about tipping the priest! I knew about the alter boys though.

My church is $300 and we have to pay for the organist separate.

We haven't heard definitely yet but when we were at the church on Monday there was a little sign that said the church was $375, organist was $100 and singer was another $100.

HAHA The deacon said to us there is an offering of $500.00 to the church i turned to FH & said i dont remember offering 500 bucks to anyone! lol lol But from what i have read on these boards its actually cheaper then most churches!

That is totally normal. The fee for my church is 500 but then its an extra 200 and change for the 'mandatory' music. (You don't have to use their music but you have to pay their music coordinator regardless- ridiculous)

But anyway- yes. that is a standard price.
