church procession

aside from the moh and bm, in what order do all the other couples proceed in the church - is it shortest to tallest, the opposite, etc..? we have 2 sets of parents, 5 couples, a ring boy, a junior bridesmaid and a flower girl....

Our GM were not part of the procession -> just the BMs. I wanted the ladies to have their special moment for the day.

Are you all having your grandparents walk? I never really seen this done but MIL asked FI about them. My grandma is really sick. I am lucky if she can make my wedding. I really doubt she can walk the aisle. ..I think she would feel bad if the others did and she didn't so I wanted no one to walk..didn't think they had to. Of course FI and esp. MIL do not understand this.

Bride's Mother escorted by my brother (who is the last GM b/c he is the tallest GM).

BM escorted by GM. (they are pretty much in size order...guys are very close in height...girls in size order..for me it was the fairest way to pick partners)

I am having a Jr. BM and Jr. Groomsman, I am having them walk in after the BM's & Groomsman.. right before my FG's. Since I will most likely be doing size order it will just work out that way anyway..

I don't think everyone has grandparents walk down the aisle in the procession... it is up to you... of course if your grandmother has a hard time walking, then I wouldn't have her walk down... However, you can have someone special escort her down... I don't think i am having my mother walk down alone either, probably having each of my
brothers escort them down... But like I said, I don't think everyone does it

Honestly I have never seen that done before... but I guess you can do whatever it is you want.. You dont have anyone else special to walk your mom down? A brother or special relative? IMO I think that might work out easier

Dkga: I think that may be OK, although a son or close cousin might simplify things, if you really want, then have your Mom walked by your Dad at the very beginning of the Processional, then you'll be at the end, so it won't be too awkward. You have to make sure your Ceremony site has a way he could make it back up to you w/o being obvious.
