church readings

Did you ask people to do readings for you?

How many people do I need? Are there 3 different readings (catholic church w/a mass)?

TIA!

We asked close family and friends to do readings for us. In our catholic ceremony only there were three readings. HTH

Re: church readings

2 cousins are doing the 1st and 2nd reading. My brother is doing the prayer of the faithful.

This is for my catholic mass.

Re: church readings

For a nuptial mass you will need at least 3:
First Reading
Second Reading
Prayer of the Faithful (we used 2 people for this-they each read half of the intentions)

Usually the Psalm is sung. HTH!

We had two readers. One for the old Testament and one for the New Testement readings.

Re: church readings

usually at a catholic ceremony with mass there are two readings. My FH and I each have asked a person to do one reading. We each picked a friend that was close but wasn't in the wedding party so they can be included in soemthing too.

For the prayer you can can have an additional person or have one of the readers do it.
