church readings

Can anyone suggest some church readings? My pastor gave me a short list, but I only like one and we want to have two readers.

are you getting married in a Catholic Church? if so, you can pick whatever you want!!! one has to be an old testament reading, one from the new and one from one of the 4 Gospels. DH and I just picked the readings that meant a lot to us. in fact, only one of them had anything to do with marriage.

there's this book Together For Life. My church gave it to me and the whole book is full of suggestions for readings, opening prayers, gospel selections, basically anything you can choose in the mass. It was so helpful you could prob find it online.

There was one reading that really sticks out over the years that I will always remember... my favorite of all time is the Corinthians 13 Love is Patient, Love is Kind- I was fortunate enough to read it @ my MOH's wedding.. but the one that sticks out is the one about hands... it's something like 'These are the hands of the one who will work hard for you... something like that- I would google it- it's usually done by a close friend/family member of the bride (female) and a close friend/family member of the groom (male) and they recite it together...

we did 1Corinthians 13, Collassians(sp?) 3 12-17 and then we did the Hands Ceremony (not a dry eye in the church with that one!)
