Church Rehearsal

Do you guys know when your rehearsal will be yet? I just realized my church never told me when and I was wondering if that was something I had to book or they just told me what date they could do? I have out of town bridesmaids that are already looking to book flights and are asking me when the RD will be

i'm not sure.. i am going to do FOCCUS tonight so i am going to ask when i get there tonight. i'm pretty sure you have to schedule it with the church. my sister had to do hers a little earlier than normal so i know she made special arrangements. i'll see if the guy tonight knows.

I really don't know.. you can call your church and they should be able to tell you.

My church specifically told me that I can't schedule the rehearsal until we do pre-cana. So now I'm waiting for the pre-cana phone call which is supposed to be any day now.........

I called the day after we first met with the priest and booked my FOCCUS, Pre-Cana and rehearsal. Mine is Friday night at 6:30pm. I had a choice of 3 times because I was the first to call. We chose Friday because half our bridal party is from out of town, so we didn't want to make them have to come to LI on Thursday.

I would ask your church...
I don't have much help for this b/c I didn't book my church yet...OOPS! HAHA>... cutting it down to the wire I tell ya! LOL. But, hopefully will have one within the next week .... I HOPE!

I called them again today and got someone on the phone and asked and she said she had no idea to call back in march... UM HI ITS DECEMBER!!! I swear the church has been nothing but a nitemare for me. Anyhow I told her that I would wait till then but I have someone who is booking her flights this week cause she got a good deal and I want to make sure I can get the rehersal for thursday... I kind of remember the Deacon telling us that its first come first serve so I told her that and she told me she would have to 'get back to me' and took my number. lol.. so i am SURE i wont hear anything until March

I swear... churches are the hardest vendor EVER! They can decide not to do it just 'because'...they don't respond to phone calls right away, and they ALWAYS make you wait! AUGH! lol...Ok, vent over. I would try again in like Jan maybe... maybe you can get another woman.... or just say you forgot! HAHAA. Or even early Feb. The sooner you know the better off you and your BP will be.

FOCCUS is a test that you and FH take.. it just asks important questions you would face as as a couple etc and then they rank you and see how you did...Some parishes require this and others dont. If they didnt say anything to you then you probably dont have to do it. I had to do it and it was such a waste of time and money. It was $50.. we took the test and then went back for our 'meeting' to which the deacon told us we did great and goodbye.. that was it!

our ceremony is at a chapel, and it is the the day before the wedding. This works out so my oot bms only have to stay two nights!

Thats annoying that they won't get back to you right away!

Are you local, can you stop by and ask???

we just booked our church yesterday and the deacon told me it was going to be 2 nights before my wedding. :)

I'm getting married on a saturday and my rehearsal is the thursday before. My Deacon told me that a few months ago before we did pre cana.

I won't know until at least June or July when we get called in for our meeting/instruction/paperwork. I would imagine we can pick whenever, I'd rather do it before Thanksgiving if I can.
