FOCCUS is a test that you and FH take.. it just asks important questions you would face as as a couple etc and then they rank you and see how you did...Some parishes require this and others dont. If they didnt say anything to you then you probably dont have to do it. I had to do it and it was such a waste of time and money. It was $50.. we took the test and then went back for our 'meeting' to which the deacon told us we did great and goodbye.. that was it!
The reason for it is because some couples don't discuss important things like how many kids you want or how you want to raise them, or how your going to deal with finances. They don't want you to get married and then realized you disagreed on important things. If there is something like that and it shows up on the exam then you discuss it with the priest after. Although there were a ton of sexual related questions on there that I am NOT discussing with a priest.
My MOH wants to get a copy of the exam and give it to potential guys, like a pre-dating questionnaire.
