CHURCH!!!... UPDATE HORRIBLE!!!!! VERY MAD AND SAD!

ok, seriously, whoever that deacon was, he must have been having a craptastic day, because he was lying to you in the face! i am getting married on a sunday. the first time i was engaged, i was supposed to be married on a sunday. we went to 7 different churches before we picked the church we were going to be married in (i know, 7 churches is a lot, but we really wanted a full mass for our wedding and since we ar getting married on a sunday, not many churches will perform a full mass since it is a sunday, they will only perform a ceremony)
now with that said, if you told me they were not willing to give you a full mass, but would provide a ceremony, i could understand, but him telling you to wait 2 weeks is ridiculous!
i hope you have better luck when you speak with your priest on Sunday!!!

We do want a Full Mass...
And the person we spoke to was NOT a deacon! He was only the counselor!!!!!

I think that is what we have to do... I will have to verify with other Churchs... but We only go to that Church so i dunno.... u know? it will be a different i guess....

Have you tried another Church? I am getting married on a Sunday in Church. In fact, I live down the block from St. Anthony's church in Oceanside, and I see weddings all the time on a Sunday.
Does it have to be this specific one?

But if not i will try another one I used to go to before....

aww V! i'm sorry this happened to you. I don't know why churches can be so difficult. I had issues with mine as well and my date that we originally booked was already booked at the church a year and a half in advance. And when i first called the rectory - we waited almost 2 weeks until we were able to finally sit with the priest. I would def approach them after sunday mass and explain the situation. Good luck and stay positive - everything will work out

ITA...I think it takes a lot of patience to deal with the church sometimes because they do NOT often give you a quick answer. There are a lot of steps and people to go through. Ugh, annoying, I agree. Sorry V!
