When I went to my florist appointment, I told them my budget. In order to keep within my budget, we ruled out ceremony flowers. Will I regret this? is there anyone out there not doing ceremony flowers to decorate the church?
Of course we'll have pew bows...but how else can I go about decorating? My florist mentioned buying a huge plant or something...I dunno. Are flowers for the church really that necessary?
Thanks!!

We are doing any church flowers. But the church will already have flowers there, so we didnt feel it was necessary. Besides-I didnt think they were necessary

we're having one hydrangea with a pew bow attached to it, and placing it on every other row....
they only cost $15 a piece....

we are only having 2 arrangements for the church alter. we probably dont even need to do that since they always have nice arrangements regularly. but if its not in your buget, then i dont think its a huge loss. what about softening things with petals down the aisle?

We're having flowers bc my uncle is a florist so I'm basically set with that haha, but my Church reccommends for everyone that you see if there's another wedding that day/weekend, call the other bride, and see if she wants to get the same flowers and split it.... seems like a great idea

you can do without them. I only am doing two small baskets and a few pew bows. the pew bows are being used on our cake table as decoration to keep cost down too.

You know - I didn't want ceremony flowers (not really a HUGE flower person) - but I am very easily swayed. My florist made a compelling argument for decorating the ceremony. Don't remember what it was - but I do remember nearly passing out when I saw the proposal!
I think churches tend to be less sparse looking than the RH (where I am getting married).
I think you will be FINE at the altar because NOBODY will be paying attention to a basket of flowers when there is a gorgeous bride standing up there!

I am NOT having ceremony flowers . . . my church has fresh flowers on the alter and those will have to be enough. If I had more money, I would probably still not use it on ceremony flowers.
