Cinderella Castle Dining Q?

Original post by cherish83

.Okay, so I just called the Disney reservation desk for restaurants, and the only time they have to eat at Cinderalla's Castle for dinner is at 4:10. Thats a bit early. We got the dining plan, so that uses up 2 out of our 5 sit down meals. My question is, is it really worth it? The pictures I found online of the place don't look really nice. FH and I are trying to find nice/romantic places to eat.

So far we've booked, Wolfgangs downtown (Wofgang is FH's idol, so that was a given.. ) and the coral reef at Epcot, because i told FH he had to plan a date, and he doesnt really know disney but he said the only thing he knows of disney was seeing that restaurant on Full House and it looked nice

I tried for Le Cellier, but thats ALL booked for the days we are there... What other nice restaurants do you recommend?

I know I want to do some of the fun ones too, like Prime Time Cafe, but thats not expensive, so we dont mind paying for that for lunch.

Okay this started out as one question and turned into many and i started rambling so i'm going to stop now.. Thanks for all those who beared with me here

I ate at Fultons in downtown disney and the food was good!! I actually found the food at Disney to be good everywhere we went. I was expecting it to be very bleh and it wasn't. We also ate at the Steakhouse in the Contemporary resort and the steaks were sooo good! I hear that the restaurant in Japan at Epcot is awesome, but we didn't get a chance to go.

Ask your resort if they have transportation or something before you take a cab because my friend and I did that senior year of high school and it cost sooo much to take a cab. The resort should have some kind of transportation for it like a bus or something. I would check it out and ask before I take a cab because it will cost money, like everything else in disney..lol

Thanks. You are soooo helpful! I'm going to look at the menus online now and TRY to make a decision soon, so most of my plans are set and I can make our itinerary around the reservations.. I know.. i'm a loser who NEEDS to know what i am doing

This is great information!
I am going on August 14-19 for my FSIL and F-cousin-IL double sweet 16 with 12 other FH family members.

I know that they (the sweet 16-ers) have picked out a bunch of resturants and made reservations. So I am happy to hear all the options!

We're going from Sept 29th through Oct 4. I already have reservations at Wolfgang's Cafe in downtown disney on the 30th and at Coral Reef on the 3rd.

I tried to get Le Cellier (The steakhouse at Epcot), but they are all booked. Hmm if you suggest California grill i'll show FH and see what he thinks.. it is on the dining plan, and it would be nice to see the fireworks from there. Do you know if the shuttles from resorts take you to other resorts?

If those are the days you are going DON'T make dinner reservations every night!!!!

Epcot's Food and Wine Festival starts Sept. 30th and it's AWESOME!!!! They set up about 25 mini-pavillions serving sample sizes of food and wine from various regions. IT'S SUPER FUN!!! And you can use your DDP snack credits toward the food!! Definetly check it out.

If you are looking for something similar to the Cinderella Castle Dinner try the Aukershaus (sp) in Norway (Epcot)....it's essentially the same except it's alot eaiser to get into (and it's not in the castle...but that's overrated, imo anyway). The breakfast there is exceptionally good!!

I also reccomend: 'Ohana (Polynesian Resort- You can watch the fireworks from here), Cape May's Cafe (Beach Club- Buffet Clam Bake...very yummy) and Mitsokushi (Japan- If you like japanease food).

I would reccomend Alfredos in Italy and I don't know if anyone said this yet but it's closing August 30th so that would be out......I'm so sad about this.

So that's my 2 cents...
