I also had a jeweler tell me to use windex. My FMIL swears by it and her ring does always look shiny!

Re: Cleaning E- Ring?
But seriously, I'm at work right now and my E-ring is so dirty so I tried windex and it worked. I will probably use a toothbrush and windex again tonight because I don't have a toothbrush here. It works!

Re: Cleaning E- Ring?
I just put mine in a plastic cup with a little dish soap and warm water...I soak it for 20 minutes, then i let it dry on a paper towel, and then I buff it with a tissue or soft napkin! It always looks great when I'm done.

Re: Cleaning E- Ring?
I use toothpaste and a brush with soft bristles.....it looks like the first day I wore it. I get compliments on the sparkle almost everyday. I have a cleaner that the jeweler gave me, but he said toothpaste works better..and then it smells good too..

Best tip!
Polident tablets (the denture cleaner stuff). i know it sounds weird but the diamond guy we used recommended it and it works great. Use a cup of hot water and drop the tablet in (it fizzes) then drop the ring in and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. Then clean with toothbrush.
Sparkles like crazy.

ivory snow laundry detergent. mix with water let the ring sit in it for a minute or so, brush with toothbrush, rinse, and you're good to go.

Re: Cleaning E- Ring?
I wanted to have a jeweler clean my e-ring 1-2 days before the wedding. Can I just go into a random jeweler and ask or do I have to pretend to want to buy something? Will they clean it for free?

Re: Cleaning E- Ring?
FMIL gave me this tip: Boil it in a pot with water (duh) and powdered dishwasher detergent. It works great! Between boilings, I use the blue jewelry cleaner with the little brush. My mom has the instant hot water and I rinse in that when I am there - works great.

My jewlers said to use dish soap and hot water. He told me that some of the jewlery cleaners may make your ring look cloudy after a while.

I bought Razzle Dazzle, just spray it on and rinse. Also heard that toothbrush with windex does the trick.

Re: Cleaning E- Ring?
The jeweler gave my FH a bottle of cleaner when he picked up the ring. I use it once a week - on a Tuesday (the day I got it). It works great. It does say on the bottle that it contains ammonia.

I bought jewelry cleaner which, I can tell you by the smell of it, definitely has ammonia in it! You dunk it in the tray for 10 secs, use a teeny brush on it, and then rinse off. Easy and boy does it SPARKLE!

This is what I did, our jeweler always asks me why I come in to get my ring cleaned when its already clean
