CLM or Carlye?

I'm so confused on which one to pick for the RH in May '08 I really love both...my fam members love Carlye *they're older mostly and my FH's fam would be blown away by CLM. By the way FH loves CLM....only thing is that I had my HS senior prom there sooo....i don't know? Help!!!

I haven't been to either so I'm sorry I can't be too much help but I just wanted to tell you that the RH I booked is where I had my HS Senior Prom and I think it's cute because you can duplicate pics and the place has sentimental value, like everything is coming full circle. HTH!!

The two places are completely different. I personally do not like the room (downstairs) at CLM, but I have never been to a wedding there, just went to check it out for myself. I'm not a big fan of oval tables either, althoug it would make for nice pictures. Carlyle is such a different caliber (bells and whistles) than CLM. I had a great experience there for my friend's wedding. If the price isn't too different, I would choose Carlyle over CLM. My friend's brother got married there and she said the yacht is really just a boat anyway...If you like CLM, did you check out Venetian Yacht Club? It's sort of a combination of the two. Hope this helps and of course this is just my opinion.

I was at that wedding too... the Carlyle was awesome!!
I've never been to CLM, so I can't say what it's like there!

yeah that is a really cute idea! i was thinking about doing the same thing...the place i had my senior prom was actually the first RH hall we looked at! (Milleridge cottage)...we decided against it, but i do agree about it adding sentimental value.

very different places and price ranges. I've been to weddings at CLM and they're done very well. I haven't been to a wedding at Carlyle but visited when we were looking at RH. I loved it and would've booked in a second if we could afford it.
Of the two, I personally would say Carlyle.

Check out my review of CLM... IMO Carlyle is wayyyyyy more expensive, and you get more at CLM but it is your choice in the end.

do you want beach or golf course? It's always nice to be somewhere new. My brother's wedding was at Carlyle, it was amazing. the food, scenery, size of the hall, etc.....

Hands down Carlyle.....went to CLM twice and was not impressed....the only nice thing about CLM is that is right on the water (nice view) but otherwise nothing special...

I have to agree. I was not impressed with CLM. The view is pretty but I've been to places that have a nicer water view JMO. I'd def. go with Carlyle!!
