Clothing Help!

Clothing Help!

I feel dumb for asking this...but I am clueless!
I need to purchase some new pants b/c some of my pants are feeling a little snug.

So my question is do I just buy a bigger size right now or do I start looking into maternity pants? I'm almost at 3 months and I don't think I've gained too much weight.

What should I do?

Re: Clothing Help!

im not pregnatn yet... but try a bigger size see how it feels and I would also try some pregnant pants to see how those feel. Its really up to what feel most comfortable to you. Sorry if I have been no help at all. Best of luck to you.

When I was 3 months I bought a few pairs that were just 2 sizes bigger and they're just now not buttoning at 5 1/2 months. I ended up buying maternity though because they were just more comfortable on my belly.

You have to try things on. Its the only way you can tell what is going to fit.
They sell pants for that in-between stage for now.

At 3 months I just got a size bigger. I didn't get into the maternity clothes until 4.5 months or so. Now at 27 weeks I am in the next size of maternity. Everyone is different. Take Sue's suggestion; try them on...

I'm in the same boat as you Irene-my regular jeans feel like they're suffocating me but I am not ready for maternity. Kptoys told me about a place in the Tanger outlets that sells transition jeans so I think I'll have to go check it out.

Elastic waist bands become your best friend. That's how I got through the transition phase!

I'm just happy I get to wear hospital scrubs to work-ahhh, they are the most comfy clothes around!

Re: Clothing Help!

Wearing clothes a size up didn't work for me - they were baggy everywhere else but the waist, so I bought a few pairs of pants with elastic waistbands til I could fit better into regular maternity pants

I was wondering the same thing. I only have a few pairs of pants that fit right now. I was going to take advantage of no tax week and get some transition or elastic waist pants this weekend.

I went into Motherhood Maternity last week (I am 13 weeks). I didn't want to buy bigger sizes because I want pants that'll fit me as I grow. The salesgirl was great!! I bought jeans. They are so comfy on my belly. They aren't the pouch style, but the demi style; which is a thick elastic band. SO COMFY!!! I also went to Baby Gap in the Riverhead Outlets and got really nice black pants for $3.99!!!!!!! In total at the Baby Gap, I bought three pairs of pants and five shirts for 68 dollars. I am such a geek when it comes to bargains. I always feel the need to brag. Good luck finding clothes it is somewhat frustrating.

Believe it or not I found 2 pairs of pants at Target today, very comfortable! They are elastic in the back only so they will be good for the next few months. I bought a suit too. Not a big selection though.
