Any of you girls go clubbing? Long Island or NYC?

I used to club every single weekend.
Zachary's, Chelsea St, etc...
Was never a city club go-er. I always like the LI crowd better.
Now it's on a rare occasion!

God I rember those days. Lets just say back day in the day most LI bouncers new me by name!!! As for NYC it was pretty much a once in while thing. Twilo, Sound Factory and if we were really bored Webster Hall. We only did NYC on ocassion, b/c we never left before 7am. Just couldnt handle that all the time. Now I would just like to sleep til 7am.
I'm getting old!!!

I can totally relate, BriarRose! My clubbing days are long over, and SLEEP is my priority. I found that the older I got, the less tolerant I was of crowds and sloppy drunks. Every now and then my friends and I hit Culture Club, but we usually leave around 11 or 12 when it starts getting crowded, and head someplace for a late dinner and/or drinks. We've accepted and embraced the fact that we are 'old'.

I can totally realate too ... dublin pub, chelsea, luxe - my exboyfriend was a bouncer, so I always got in! I hated the city thing - just treking back and forth, but we use to do it. Now, it's a really rare occasion, I'd rather sleep or just go out to dinner!

Im with you lizlen. It uesd to be my weekend routine in what seems like another life. I do remember Zacherys. I cant believe its still around.

OH MY god! Metro 700 I used to be there every friday night! my friends and I were all over LI and the city my friend used to drag us to Hoboken once in a while!No I really have no desire to go to a crowded smokey club. although I do go once is a blue moon.

Chevys on Sunrise Highway? Oh yes I definately remember that place - Metro 700 too. Im laughing just thinking about those places.

I was big into Escapes!! Friday & Sat!! Dublin Pub on Thursday nights (ladies night!!)

My cousin married a guy she met at Metro700!! They are divorced now!!

Ohhhhh good ol' Chevy's! I used to go there under age and try to get in with a chalked license!! Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't.

omg chevys & metro700...what memories!!
i lived in those places and zacahrys was my favorite!
I also dated a few bouncers and always felt like a queen just walking past the line, kissing him, then going right in the door, also getting treated good by the other bouncers i knew all over. free drink chips, cards etc LOL!!!!
i had to add....i went to my MOH bacheloreet party last year and we did the billy deans thing, they give you a free pass to go to a club afterward so we picked chelsea and zacharys and wouldn't you know I saw some of the SAME people i saw like 5 yrs ago when i used to go?

I met my FH at sprats on the land 6 years ago, I was a shot girl and he would come with all his boys and buy all my shots so I could get off early and hang out... The good ole days!!! I am kind of happy it is opening they redid the entire club infact it is by the same owners as Cyberia, it is called Kairo hopefully opening soon, it was kind of sad when sprats was getting knocked down I used to pass by and always say that is where I met john

Other than that I did not do clubbing a lot I would do local bars like the lucky irishman, band box inn ( such a whole in the wall, yet i lived there) and then I did the RVC thing a whole lot with my college friends since I went to college there. Summers I would do the Fire Island Ocean Beach/ Ocean Bay Park/Kismit thing and when I was not at the beach in the summers I was hanging out in Babylon/Islip strip....I hate that I just wrote that all down. Makes me think I was some kind of lush

LOL When I was in college, (ancient history ) I used to go clubbing all the time, but since I live in Westchester I doubt many of you had frequented them. They were 21 North, Marty & Lenny's, Take 5, Hoops and Fudgies

We used to do the Sprat's, Westbury happy hour every Friday. Happy hour usually stretched into happy night!

Wow...at first I thought I wouldn't know any of the places because I am from Queens but then when I read these posts I realized I have been to a bunch of them. Defintely been to Escapes and Metro 700 (boy that was a long time ago). I remember going to Jams in LI (when I was 17...that was almost 13 years ago..hehe).

I use to go to Avanti's and Paleds (sp?) in Queens and Emerald City in NYC when I was in hs and college. I also went to Limelight a bunch.

Now, I am can't do the club scene. I like bars..but when I get drunk I like to dance...so bars with dance floors do me well.

Michelle-went to college in New Rochelle and frequented Marty & Lenny's, Streets and Greenhouse but on the weeknights - college nights.
