Ahhh yes, the Salty Dog. I think my brother mentioned seeing Rush play at Rumrunners (before they really exploded).

I was more of a Suffolk girl....we loved nylons and spanky's and gosh i forgot the name of it but it was the club before Planet Dublin.

I remember seeing Zebra at Hammerheads. I was only 16...yes underage...but then the drinking age was 18!!

For those of you that do not know where Hammerheads was.... it was where Chevy's was..but now its torn down and there is a Bob's where it used to be....ahhh the good old days...

Yes, good old Carrington's -- many a drunken night spent there w/my cousin!!!! And many a fight with the stuck up guido schmuck who bounced there! He threw us out because we snuck one of our underage cousins in and it was big blow to his too-big-for-his-body ego and we fixed his butt when it was Halloween!!!

never did Metro, I was a 007 girl, maybe ocean club too.....those were the days....knew all the bartenders, had a blast. I think that's the only place I ever went clubbing regularly....and that was a LONG LONG time ago!

I know this post is from last week but this just brought back alot of memories for me as I sit in my office thinking about my clubbing days......I think I went to Metro /007- in Frankin Sq on the turnpike ? Also used to frequent Zacharys, Sprats on the water and the one in Westbury, Malibu and does anyone remember Club California which then became Industry? Oh and teen club Danielles! And alot of places on the turnpike that I cant remember the names of... Also Mulcahys alot and Paddy Mc Gees....when did I get old?

Oh and there was this bar everyone used to go to from my HS - they never carded us - it was called Panama Jakes, on the turnpike. And of course SPIT - it was sad when it burned down.

Chelsea, Blu, Oz, never enjoyed the clubs that much but these were the ones I go or went to on occasion. I'm more in to the bar scene if anything..Monteray's, Mchebe's, bogart's, Mulcahey's !!

ohhh, way back in the day, days of yore (friends?)...there was the Red Lion in Babylon. Then the OBI in HS, Malibu for spotlight dance on Tuesdays, Club California, Caffeine. Then Chevys, Cheslea St, happy hour in the summer at 56th Fighter Squod. Then got a summer house for 5 years at Ocean Bay Park, Fire Island. But it's always good to go home to the Post Office and Argyle in Babylon.

jennbaby- I was up on Frannie Lew with you and remember the Deli Biz way too well. The turn at the supermarket! My mom was moving out of the house I grew up a few weeks ago and I found a stack of pictures from the cruising days...they were so funny. I threw them away but they brought back so many memories.

We should start a post of pictures of us with our big hair from the day. Before and after. Sad to say but I may win biggest hair then. My hair was so huge and I had the tiniest body then! It is so funny. I went to my 10 year reunion a couple years ago and the guy who had a locker next to me for 4 years of hs didn't even recognize me. He came over to all my friends and said hi and then introduced himself to me saying he had no clue who I was...I shocked him and he took pictures and brought other members of my homeroom over all night. It was a riot!

Big Hair

I remember the Big Hair days all too well!!

I used to use flat beer and 2 different types of hairspray to get my hair sky high.

I think big hair pictures would be funny!

I was a Caffeine/Voodoo girl myself - met my FH there on Tuesday night, which way back when (8 years ago), was Wonderama.

It's hard to believe that I'm marrying a guy I met there!!

When I was in college in NYC, went to Roxy, Tunnel, Limelight. But those days are over. Went out to NYC last night to see a friend's band play and I'm wiped out today!!! Can't handle it anymore.
