I always said i was def going to mine. I want to be able to walk around and start saying my hellos and all, and enjoy that hour. But as its getting closer & people are asking me more about the wedding they keep saying that we shouldn't go, that we should walk out and let everyone see us for the first time when they call our name at the reception. What are you girls doing?

We're going to ours...
I figure that everyone is going to see us at the ceremony anyway, so it's not like it will be some big surprise when we walk into the reception anyway.
We wanted to be able to mingle with our guests so we can really enjoy dancing at the reception and not feel like we're neglecting our guests.

We are although my dad was like, no one does that. Personally like you mentioned people see you at church, I want to enjoy each and every hour and get to spend time with more people too.

We didn't go for ours. We had a bridal attendant, maitre D, and BP getting us food and drinks. I'm upset I missed the ice sculpture and carvings with our names. But I'm so glad we did it that way. It was the only time during the entire day where I didn't have to do anything, but eat and sit. I wouldn't trade that hour for anything. It was our hour.

We went for 30 minutes. We spent 15 minutes alone immediately after the ceremony and then spent 15-20 minutes eating together in the bridal suite. Going to cocktail hour was good for us because we got to greet a lot of people.

We can't go, since we're getting married at the RH and we don't want to see each other beforehand, we have to take pics during the CH.

FH is totally into going. I'm thinking of going for the first 1/2 hour and then cutting out and hanging in the bridal suite for the second 1/2 hour to decompress before the reception begins. Then again, we're paying for 5 hours of a party, why not enjoy all 5?
