Cocktail Hour

If there's a post about this somewhere else lead me to it, if not...

How many of you are going to be present during your CH? & who's going to stay in the bridal suite? And if you are staying in the suite-- who's staying with you?

At first we were going to wait to make our grand entrance during the reception, but my FH feels like the CH is a good time to greet our guests so we can spend the reception enjoying the party & not making our rounds... what do you think?

We decided we are taking all of our pictures before the ceremony, or some people are taking pictures right after the ceremony so they can enjoy their cocktail hour. I definitely feel like if i'm paying for all this I should be a part of it not hear about it.

I plan on attending my cocktail hour. That is my favorite part of weddings. Plus i want to hear the steel drum band that we hired.

The bride and groom were at the cocktail hour at the last weddings I have attended.

Fh and I are planning on being alone in the bridal suite that way we can eat and then head to the coctail hour so we can get our hellos in..

we will be at our cocktail hour!!!!! we want to enjoy every minute of the wedding with our guests. we have time in between the church and reception for pictures and for ourselves.

We are gong to our CH. I don't want to miss it. I want to spend as much time as I can w/ everyone. We don't want to have to do table rounds during the reception. It takes away from the party.

We are attending our CH. We decidedly, not easily, to do our pictures ahead of everything. So we are going to attend our CH and hopfully greet all of our guests.

we decided that we wanted to enjoy out CH since we were spending so much money on it...plus we want to make our rounds of hello's and thank you's so that we can enjoy the actual reception...we're also going to see each other before the ceremony so that we can take pictures

DH & I didn't see one another before the ceremony. We took our pics right after the ceremony and then went to our cocktail hour. We were able to celebrate 20 minutes of our CH.

We spent our cocktail hour in our bridal room with the bridal party. We had the same food as everyone else in the bridal room and our own bridal attendant who brought us our drinks. I wasn't ready to meet and greet everyone just yet. I wanted to relax and enjoy the time with my bridal party before the reception began. If I didn't have a receiving line, I would have probably joined the cocktail hour.

We're doing both, actually. Taking pictures after the ceremony with everyone and then sending everyone except for us to the cocktail hour. Once we're done, we're going to take more pictures in the village and then see if we can make any of the CH.

Then we'll go to the bridal suite and be introduced formally at the reception. There is 2 hours between the ceremony and reception so we should have plenty of time.

I had no intentions of going to my CH but that day we both decided it would be better to see our guests during the CH so we could enjoy the reception!

We did just that & it worked out great. We got to truly enjoy our reception & danced our feet off!!!

I was originally planning on attending the whole thing but, I think I am going to hang out in the bridal suite for a little while and eat some food before I go out. I want to enjoy every minute of the wedding but, I know as soon as I walk out there I'm going to be socializing and most likely unable to eat much.

i think we'll be at the cocktail hour.. that way we have less mingling to do during the reception.. and i would like to spend more time with my guests.

we planned on spending the shole cocktail hour with our guests but we were so exhausted and had NO alone time up to that so we snuck off the the Bridal Suite for a few minutes then came down the the cocktail hour and immediately my photographer drug us out for more pics.

We literally spent just 5 minutes or so. but we needed the pics. And I got some of my favorites then.
