Cocktail Hour

Cocktail Hour

I know this has probably been asked 100 times already, but is everyone attending their cocktail hour? I didn't think I wanted too, I wanted people to see us together for the first time when we are announced at the reception. Am I alone on this one? I see that so many of you are or have attended your cocktail hour.

We are going to attend our cocktail hour. We will be taking pictures before cocktail hour and into probably the beginining of cocktail hour. I would not miss all the food that I will be having there. Plus also I can do a little of my socializing during the cocktail hour.

We definitely want to attend our cocktail hour. We are having so much food that we dont want to miss, and we extended it to an hour and a half.

We didn't attend because we both wanted to create some excitement when we were announced. Although, we do not regret our decision, it does make sense to attend. You can greet your guests there instead of later when your having fun. It passes by so quickly and I spent a good chunk of it visiting tables.

Definately attend your cocktail hour if you can. It was great fun. We got to meet and greet and also took some time to do some family pictures. Then just slip away to the bridal suite to get ready for your grand entrance.

Hmmmmmmmm...... I guess we will have to discuss. I was sooo against it in the beginning and so I brainwashed FH. Now if I mention it, he's like NO WAY!

If only I could get him to come to this site... He'd see what I'm talking about... oh well!

Its always about food.

we're having baked clams and FI and I do not want to miss that. My family likes food, a lot. so we want to make sure we are there for the baked clams.

there's going to be a lot of other great food there and my family eats like food is going out of style so i want to be able to sit and have something, and maybe do some socializing, some photo's and get the baked clams.

I did half and half..for the sheer reasons I wanted to eat and I wanted the bridal party to kind of have some alone time to bond. We had food brought to the bridal suite and we ate and then went down to the cocktail hour a little bit after it started. Once I got the cocktail hour, Ididn't get much past the tables closest to the entrance. So many people to say hello to and talk to. I didn't even know I had an ice sculpture and I think we had like three!

OK, so call me the b*tch of the hour..... I REFUSE TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!

If they didn't find it important enough to see us walk down the aisle, then they'll have to wait to see us enter the room. As far as the BP is concerned, they can go wherever they want!

I think we're going to attend the cocktail hour for many reasons. Well, we want to mingle with as many people as possible, so that we can party later. There will be sooo much food that we don't want to miss, and it gives us more time to enjoy the party.
But we will sneak away so we can get ready for the entrance. I'm looking forward to it.

We went to our cocktail hour.For all the money we spent,we wanted to enjoy the cocktail hour too.We talked to people in the cocktail hour so we could just enjoy the reception!

We are attending our cocktail hour, there will be too many people for me and FI see in just the reception. You should do whatever makes you happy, it is your day! LOL
